unleash you are starting to
unleash you are starting to look like a spammer since you have already been told Drupal 8 is still in development and not meant for general use.
nevets - if d8 is not
nevets - if d8 is not intersting for you - i cant do anything for you.
i for one decided to be an early adopter - you may stay with the old stuff - i for one love to have the new stuff.
you may call i t useless - i for one call it being open minded.
so do not tell me whats useful for me. you can do anything but not tell me what is useful.
besides this: if YOU tell me what is useful or not - who are you. You are one of a million - so what??
note: from now on i try to get the ver. 8 on my own so that i do not look like a spammer...
@the moderators and admins: i stop asking for the version 8 here.
since i am not sure if some of the mods think like nevets - [ who tryies to convince me to see the world like he doses - but who fails all the time he tries to do so]
sorry for being harsh but i guess that this is necessary.

No such thing yet
unleash, there is no such thing as an "early adopter" of Drupal 8 right now. Drupal 8 is currently completely in flux, only meant for the developers who are working on creating it. It is "wet clay" right now, so to speak. On any given day it could be entirely different depending on what code has just been committed, might be impossible to install without crashing, who knows. No end user is meant to use it currently for any reason. If a single module or theme works consistently with it right now I'd be very surprised. If you can install it at all, then upgrade it even once without fully reinstalling from scratch (including deleting your database), it might be a miracle.
Using Drupal 8 right now for any purpose other than to participate in contributing new features, fixing bugs, etc is pointless. If you do want to participate in this way, please carefully search and read the Drupal 8 issue queue, and if you determine what you have to ask or add has not already been discussed, then create a new issue about it. Definitely "do not" ask there about this or that module being functional for Drupal 8 yet - it won't be pretty.
If Drupal were a new model of car being built in the factory, you are asking right now to get in and drive it around the race track, even though the engine is currently pulled out being worked on, the tires are missing, there's a bunch of cables and tools attached all over, and a lot of the necessary parts are still being forged over in the metal shop. It's simply impossible.
After you read that Drupal 8 has had its "code freeze", or when you see a Drupal 8 release marked alpha, beta, or release candidate (could be in several months, a year, a few years, no one really knows), at that point you might be able to begin exploring and seeing what it is like to be on "the bleeding edge", if that is what you really want to do.
In the mean time, please use Drupal 7. It hasn't actually been too long since Drupal 7 has become the "recommended for most/all projects" version over Drupal 6, with solid support for most important modules and themes, many of the major bugs worked out, etc. It will probably be a long time before Drupal 8 reaches a similar point.
Best of luck! :)
How to install Drupal 8.
I have successfully installed D8 at my online shared webhosting account.
It installs in the same manner as D6, and D7.
Do not be alarmed/ put-off if you get a '500 Error' page
upon your first visit to your site.
Just refresh that page, and hopefully you, like me,
will be merrily on your way.

If you want to install Drupal 8 on your MAC, or Windows PC
home computer ('local' install)
Use the absolute beginners step-by-step guide

I have not tried this, but I assume it will work fine.
All the best; intended.

hello dear keyz hello dear
hello dear keyz hello dear christopher
many thanks for the answers and your help - both of you do a superb job here - you are very engaged.
keyz - it is good to hear your words -
to explain my motivations / interests and situation a bit:;
i have used drupal common for several months - but this is (at least currently) based on drupal version 6.
much of the drupal version 6 is very very old fashioned - if we have a closer look at organic-groups for version 6 this is old. Organic-Groups for drupal version 7 has been rewritten totally.
at the moment i wait that the drupal common is ported over to drupal 7 fully. Some of the responsible guys (see the according threads ) expect that the release will be somewhat in july 12.
in the meanwhile i try out all the other things - the drupal version 7 14 and - since i have made some critical experiences with the old version 6 - now i want to see all the other things of the medal - now i want to have a closer look at all the new things - the things that are comming to us ....
so now you have some of the ideas that i have.
@christopher - i have some trouble with installing the version i grabbed -
can u have a look - do you have a package that runs - see this one here which i packed together... http://drupal.org/node/1567474
i guess that i did something wrong...
christopher: can you send me a workin version.?!.. to my mail-adress: martin.kaspar AT campus-24.com
i would be very glad... - look forward to hear from you

of course you can 'try out' whatever you like-- but keyz is quite right. At any given time you may not even be able to install drupal 8. That's just part of development.
However, please don't clog up the forums with support requests for it-- you're not likely to get a reply. And even if you do, it's really just a waste of resources on something that may be completely different tomorrow.
And definitely don't post to the issue queue for support-- again keyz is right, it won't be pretty, lol.
Also, your reply to nevets was quite an overreaction. You may not like what he said, but he wasn't rude or aggressive and you were.
