Using CTools content as a field with Display Suite in Field UI

In reference to this video that you made a year ago about upcoming feature. I don't see the CTools field options on the Fields tab. Was it ever added? If so, how to enable it? Does Panels need to be installed for this? I believe that I have all necessary submodules enabled for both CTools and Display Suite (have everything but Search enabled for DS).

Looking for a way to make views tabbed page displays in Display Suite, with ability to bypass core default taxonomy term page behavior for only 1 taxonomy vocab. Thought I might be able to do it this way.

It's the 'Dynamic field' - some people at work didn't like the 'ctools' name because it didn't say anything.
