I've been using this for several months and hadn't noticed any issues, but I found several users who are subscribed to the newsletter, but their status is showing inactive. I have questioned the users and they indicate that they have done nothing to unsubscribe or stop issues, so I'm unsure as to how the status was changed from active to inactive.

I've done some searching and can't find what causes the status to change. Any insight that you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

One possible reason: If a subscriber is attached to a user, blocking the user will inactivate the subscriber.

Thank you! I checked and they weren't blocked. I'm wondering if these people complaining maybe didn't complete their opt-in. Since there isn't any logging, I'm just trying to cover all bases.

Status: Active » Postponed (maintainer needs more info)

If they didn't confirm then their subscription should be unconfirmed but they should still be activated.

As miro said, disabling a user is currently the only thing that marks subscribers as inactive.

We can only help you if you can provide a reproducable way to reproduce this behavior starting with a clean installation, setting maintainer needs more info.

I will have to wait for another instance. It's a small site and subscribers aren't attached to drupal accounts. Subscriptions were mass imported and unfortunately, at the import I didn't double-check to see if all were active - I assumed they were. It wasn't until after a few mailings went out that I realized that not all subscribers were receiving the mail, so upon checking, I saw that several were inactive. I questioned and was told that they never received mail and never unsubscribed. Since that time, I have made them all active and I will monitor. Thanks for the info!
