first of all I think this is a great module (still needs more splitting imo but still great)

Now,
if you have field collection module and field collection views you have some issues when:
1. You can add a new view mode on field collection
2. You cannot see that view mode in views as in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=egVp3i44wpY

I can explain this further if you need.

@aspilicious, just out of curiosity, are you going to try to fix issues with field collections at all? Is it worth posting regarding field collections? Or should problems between DS and FC be posted in the Field Collections queue?
