I've got Organic Groups working, and have created some subgroups. So far so good.

What I would like to do now is list the subgroups that exist within each of my main 2 groups, in such a manner that if I later add more groups, they will be automatically added to the list.

I can create lists of all groups, no problem. What I can't seem to manage is a list of subgroups within one group only.

Could anyone give me a hint where to start?

obviously nobody uses subgroups or has any intentions to sort them within groups.
drupal users seem to prefer to the controlled chaos ;)

this is now the third thread about this topic i found today ... but no trace of a solution (i can understand) yet.
lets wait for drupal 11. maybe they´ll have it implemented then ;)

How to create a list of subgroups for the current group.

Using 6.x-2.x organic groups
and views 2
and context module

Create a view
add Relationship: Organic groups: Group node (member) check box requiring relationship
add argument: (Group node (member)) OG subgroups: Group ID configure to use relationship a Group node(member)
build direction: Children checked
add filter: (node type that your subgroup uses)
save view

Now using panels...
add content to a region
under views tab select your new view
the config window pops up use these settings:
1. Context: OG subgroups: Group ID:
2. check Send Arguments checkbox

wha-la!

I'm having trouble with this. Can someone hint on the Drupal 7 version of this solution?

I'm trying to get a node page (panels) of my parent group list all the subgroups with a view.

Thanks.
