okay, so i asked a question yesterday and didn't receive a reply - no biggie, but is there at least someplace i could look for some real documentation on it or how do i contact the developer of that module?
or is there a better calendar solution all together? i'd like to have a public and private calendar on the same site...any suggestions?
thanks in advance.

vCal
You can verify that there is already talk about enhancing/implementing calendering support in the event module. For instance, see http://drupal.org/node/15855 where someone actually submitted a patch.
public/private
for public/private event on your calendar have a look at "organic groups" here http://drupal.org/project/og. It should help a lot.
TotalCalendar
Looks like this app would be great... works with Nuke. it should work with drupal!
Total Calendar 2.0
http://www.sweetphp.com/nuke/modules.php?name=Script_Preview&script=12
It's not GNU licensed
It's not free software, and it's $35. = not very likely to garner interest 'round here.
CivicSpace
CivicSpace, a community platform built on top of Drupal, is developing a very capable enhancement to the events module. Although it's not ready yet, here are some details.
