Hi there,
I am looking for something like this module, but does it support multiple roles? IE: when user signs up can they select a membership type which coresponds to a role?
Example...
Standard member -> gets auto asigned role: "standard"
Premium member -> gets auto asigned role: "premium"
If it can do this then how do I set it up?

Forget the above question - i managed to find module - rolesignup which is what I was looking for. Red faced ooops!

Yes, this is already handled by rolesignup http://drupal.org/project/rolesignup
It's not really the kind of thing that autoassignroles is meant to try to do.

The rolesignup module has apparently been deprecated and points to this module. However this functionality doesnt quite seem to be ported. At least there should be instructions on how to obtain this functionality using this module and (if necessary) others.
I've been working on a solution and cant quite figure anything out. I've opened this issue back up until we (anybody, somebody?) can come up with a solution.
