I think this is a great module particularly with the thought that has gone in to provide a wealth of options for configuration. I'd just like to add my two bits to recommend a perhaps more user-friendly voting interface.
I suppose this could be made more difficult by virtue of the fact users with elevated voting rights, and admin, need more than a thumb up or thumb down.........Or do they? My view is that the extra voting power is just that - if I have a power of +3 I want to use it - PLUS, MINUS or not at all - I'm not looking to slightly praise a comment. I have this extra right because I have earned it - my vote is that much more valid than a new user with no history. Perhaps others have a different view on this?

mercmobily commentedHi,
Impressive.
I am working *precisely* on this right now. This is going to be in the next version of the module, since we need it for Free Software Magazine.
The only problem right now is the heat. I am travelling: I am in Italy, and the temperature here is absurd (and no air-con).
However, I am hoping to have this out in 2/3 weeks.
The up/down voting will apply both to comments and stories.
Bye!
Merc.

bobdalob commentedGreat. Sounds like you're in the right place! You just need more ice cream. Enjoy Italy.

mercmobily commentedHi,
My apologies for being late.
While in Italy, I ended up having to work on a different paid project. Luckily, that's over now.
I have set aside time to work on simple_karma full time from Oct. 2.
Thank you for your patience...
(And yes, I really need simpe_karma to improve as well...)
Bye,
Merc.

mercmobily commentedHi,
Just giving you a quick update...
I am back to Australia. I am now working full time on the module, and am implementing pretty much all of the feature requests.
It's very possible - and in fact quite important - to implement a much better interface. So, I am doing it right now, with the help of Jake.
I think I will be able to put the new version online in a week or two, which is fantastic.
Bye,
Merc.

mercmobily commentedHi,
Closing this issue. It's the most important entry in the current TODO list, and will be implemented. The module should be out next week or so.
