There is a little mistake in code, which causes problems with deep menu tree and permissions on deep items.

Are you sure you're using a current version?
I've checked in this exact change on April 25th.

Hmmm... I've just downloaded http://ftp.drupal.org/files/projects/menu_stp-5.x-0.x-dev.tar.gz (2007-Jul-24) from http://drupal.org/project/menu_stp and the bug still exists. Is it current version?

Oops, seems I lost the bug-fix with the latest merge from HEAD.
I've updated the DRUPAL-5 branch in cvs with your fix.
For some reason the project page shows only the old 0.x release and not the 1.x release made from DRUPAL-5 branch.
Please go to the "all releases" page (http://drupal.org/node/112783/release) and download the snapshot from the DRUPAL-5 branch.
You probably got to wait 'till tomorrow, but then you already did fix it for yourself, right?

Thanks a lot for your fix.

And if somebody has an idea how to remove the wrong release from the project page, I'd be grateful for that too.
