Cannot Uninstall Module

Trying to uninstall this module via drush results in:

metatags_quick is a required module and can't be disabled. Reason: Field type(s) in[ok]
use - see Field list
There were no extensions that could be disabled. 

I assume this is because of Fields but this should be disable during disabling of the module. I was able to get around it by reverting all my features before disabling.
