I'm used to export things trough features and I find the widgets module quite handy. Can you add some way to export widget sets to code

totally surprised that this module uses a custom schema instead of entities... and doesn't supply any kind of exportable. are the maintainers interested in adding this support?

This would be better done with CTools exportables rather than entities. The reason being that (AFAICT) a single widget configuration is split over the {widgets_sets} and {widgets_elements} tables. CTools allows for a single exportable object to be split like this.

There's already a machine name for widget sets, so that's fine, no DB changes needed.
