Would someone be able to tell me how to set up a simple structure for having two languages on my site, english and portuguese?

I have my site content translated by a person, and now i just need to figure out how to put it up there. I have been trying to understand "localization" but with no success as yet.

Basically i want to have two buttons (or links or however you call that) saying "english" and "portuguese" etc...

Is this possible? If so how would i do it. I already installed Localization, tried "adding a language" in the admin section, but beyond that i'm lost.....I have read all the documentation for the module but still don't know how to proceed.

Grateful as always for people's generosity and energy with these forums.

Thanks greatly for this tip. I have it up on my site now and have been trying to figure it out. With little success i'm sad to say.

Do you know if this will allow me to create a simple button saying "portuguese" on my site, and when i click on that button, it will take me to a portuguese mirror site? I don't want any kind of "automatic" translations, because i have the site translated already, manually by a human translator.

I've tried everything in this module i can think of and so far i can't even get a button going, let alone a mirror site where i can put the translated text.

Do you have any suggestions??
