When sending email I receive following error

Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in alpha_invoke() (line 99 of /home/nathangeffen/webapps/gu/sites/all/themes/omega/alpha/includes/alpha.inc).
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in alpha_invoke() (line 99 of /home/nathangeffen/webapps/gu/sites/all/themes/omega/alpha/includes/alpha.inc).

Multiple times - the more emails I am sending to the more I receive this error.

Have searched and found other similar issues relating to hidden categories in the footer, but this is not the case for me.

I have the same issue using HTML mail or Mimemail

I've seen this before, seems to be related to the omega theme. You might want to try and open an issue there, if we're doing something wrong then maybe they can tell us what.

I get the same notice + warning (twice) when, as an admin, I change the status of a user from Blocked to Active and an mail is sent to the activated user.

On the other hand, when the welcome email is sent to the user signing up for an account, no notice or warning appear.

I'm using Mime Mail 7.x-1.0-alpha1, Simplenews 7.x-1.0-rc1 and a subtheme of Omega 7.x-3.1.

Any suggestion will be appreciated --thanks!

Maybe not relevant, but if resending does not work you have to manually reset the status on database: http://www.qandasystem.info/drupal/simplenews-does-not-apply-templates-a...

Indeed it was an issue with Omega in my case. I have applied patch#8 as described here and the warning disappeared.
