Not worth it at this stage. Looking at whats cooking for D8 the whole theme layer could change drastically - and I mean fundamentally totally different in D8.

We have the potentiality for Twig to be the default theme engine and the Page Builder aka "Panels in core" initiative, not to mention true responsive image capability and a breakpoints API/UI in core - these are all game changers so I don't want to put anything into a D8 theme at this stage.

In about 4 to 6 months we'll know a lot more and can start making plans -either way we're gonna be looking at total rewrites,

I would be willing to help in what is necessary to move all possible functionality to D8. Jeff, count with me, 100% available for you in this task. greetings!.

Awesome, I'm going to start looking at this in the next couple of weeks, but more seriously after feature freeze for D8, which is scheduled for December I believe.

I am praying every day that the Spark layout builder get's into core, fingers crossed.
