I have uploaded plenty of links to different linkdb categories, but unable to assign categories within the normal category section, but only within the linkdb category section.
This means that when I do a search (after plenty of cron jobs) none of the links I have inputted ever show up in the search, except all the pages I created elsewhere.
I want the links to show up in search, maybe within the normal category section. Any ideas?
I would note that with the alternative weblinks module, I put in normal category, but they do not show up in alphabetical order on the node pages.... Whereas, the linkdb module does on its pages, and it's great for that...
So... what can you do about the search facility so all links show up, or am I doing something wrong?
Thank you
Krystyna

Krystyna commentedI have to add, the weighted method doesn't work, as I have up to 40 different categories, with between 2 and 20 sub categories.....
Weighting would make this an impossible laborious job....

flibs commentedThere is currently no search support in linksdb. The whole way I wrote it is wrong and I want to re-write it from scratch using taxonomy and nodes. Infact, duplicating what the links api does. I suggest for more advanced / customisable useages to use links api and views.

nancydruI will be providing a conversion function to the Web Links module, which already has this.

nancydruA conversion function to the Web Links module is available for both 5.x and 6.x. That module provides this feature.
