Hi i have been trying all day to get this to work but it wont and i have no idea why.

After uploading a file ( which does appear in the videos/original sub folder) i just get this...

Pressing refresh yields no results and no files appear in the transcoded sub dir.

At this point should the file have been transcoded and playing?

I will admit that i have had a lot of headaches trying to find some clear and basic documantation ( that i can understand) on the ffmpeg.

I have put the ffmpeg.exe file in my root directory...is that right?
And any idea where i can get the most up to date version?

hi! i have the same problem. i have written the ffmpeg path, but i got no transcoding.
another question, do we have to unzip the whole jw flash player folder in the op_video folder, or just the file flvplayer.swf?

IMO you have to run the cron.php to start encodings.

You'll have some major issues getting this to work on a Windows server. And alippai is right, you have to run cron in order to tell the system to process the files.

One thing you could try is purchase some credits and have it send over to the OpenPackage server to have it transcode the video for you.

Ok it´s working now. The problem could have been the ffmpeg installation.
I still don´t know if we should copy the whole folder of the player. But i did it so, and it worked.
I just wanted to know if the op_video is supposed to run the cron.php automatically (though it has an autoload option in the settings) or should i run it manually?

what is the default location for ffmpeg?

It can be installed anywhere on your system. If op_video cannot find it, then type in the absolute path on the settings page.

thanks. I tried it anyway and it encoded OK but no sound. just waiting to get the version number of ffmpeg off my webhost/developer buddie, in case that might be important. Running opvideo 2.5 on drupal 5.7 / apache on Linux
