Hi,

I have installed Adaptive theme and Sky theme (default). Currently I have version 7.x-2 but I want to upgrade it to 7.x-3.

As Jeff mentions in How to uninstall article I am trying to delete existing themes, install a fresh version and then pose my modifications.

So, I disable AT and Sky and install 7.x-3 themes. When I set as default the Sky theme it gives me a server error. Moreover, before setting Sky as the default theme I noticed that in the admin section of the site, the version of Sky is updated (7.x-3) but the version of AT in not ( it still mentions 7.x-2).
It seems like a problem of cache but although I cleared cached the problem is not solved.

The most peculiar of all for me is that even if I delete the themes, drupal admin interface is not updated (they still exist there). Of course I tried clearing the cache but the problem stands still.

I would greatly appreciate your help with this issue, which seems very strange for me.

Another question: In AT themes it mentioned that AT core and subthemes should follow the same version 7.x-3 --> 7.x-3. So, with Sky 7.x-3.0-rc1 should the AT core 7.x-3.0 installed or the 7.x-3.1?

I managed to solve the problem. Just for others to know:

In case the upgrade gave me problems I wanted to keep the previous version on the server. So, I created a tmp folder and moved theme files there.

For some reason, this blocks drupal from upgrading. In case you want to upgrade an adaptivetheme you should remove completely the files (delete), then install fresh versions and as a last step apply custom changes on the newly installed fresh version.
