Ultimately this module should facilitate users adding a large number of datatypes via URL or file upload.

The media module would be ideal for this.

Types of files that can be visualized by Recline would provide that visualization. Other file types would just be available for download.

We should use: http://drupal.org/project/file_entity

Think this will be a 7.x-2.x release
