Any suggestions on how I can go about adding a link that takes you to the full Google Maps page either as a standalone formatter or added to the GeoField Map?

I suppose it could be as simple as doing a text search query to google maps like this https://maps.google.com/maps?q=address+to+my+location or as complex as querying the Places API to get the URL from the details of the place...

Any tips?

I would like to have that option, too. With the google embed snippet, you can do it.
Maybe we can at least find a way how to do it manually here, so one could place the link seperately below the map.
