A graph just with years and amounts

Hey there,

I ran into a little trouble following the tutorial. I did nearly all the same except for one point. Instead of using a month and year date format, I only wanted to use the year.
I tried a lot of stuff, but at least i figured out, that you cant use a dateformat that just is displaying the year.
Is there a trick to about that?
