The use of dropbox for term parenting selection it's still buggy (specially for free tagging fields) and can become stressfull for other vocabularies, the non-hierarchical ones.

So I tried patching an option on Hierarchical Select › Site-wide settings to enable/disable dropbox for taxonomy parenting selection.

I did some changes on:

  • modules/hs_taxonomy.module
  • hierarchical_select.admin.inc

and it solved the problem.

I know the ideal solution would be vocabulary by vocabulary. But does the trick for now!
