This is because AE won't load vendor/sanitize.js in our custom build of AE, causing content handlers to break.

Marking this as a dupe of #1748692: Cannot paste text into Aloha due to broken vendor/sanitize.js which is technically older and has a few more followers. I'll include the relevant tech details over there.
