Wim, thank you for this module. I have had a personal project on hold for over a year waiting for a module like this.
I tired DD, TSS and TSSU. This is the only module that works the way I need. Again I thank you. :-)
...but the issue
I played around with this module almost all day, read and read again the thread on how to set up the module. Loaded and re-loaded... read again
I just could not figure out what I was doing wrong, its a rather simple install.
Then I chenged to Firefox and ... Wham, it was working. wow - was I happy
then I went back to MS IE7 and still it was still not working there.
it doesn't even try to look for the 2nd or 3rd layers - the little "spinning wheel' never goes active.
is anyone else seeing this?
best regards,
Jeff

wim leersSpinning wheel? There's no spinning wheel! That only exists in "taxonomy autocomplete" fields, such as the freetagging field. This demo shows what you can do with this module.

sgdev commentedActually I think he's talking about the Content Taxonomy AutoSelect. Similar concept, but a different module. I tested it out myself and it doesn't work in IE7.

Thanks for adding to my issue.
I try my very best to decribe in detail -- every little thing, but it seems I just confuse people more at times.
What the heck, would be the proper word --- to call the spinning wheel?
(I also get a bit confused over which Tax Module in CCK is which - I'm gald you caught that)
Thank you

sgdev commentedAs someone fairly new to Drupal, the one thing I've learned quickly is the importance of knowing which component comes from which module ... there's a fair amount of overlap between tools and it can easily get confusing. Now hopefully someone associated with the ActiveSelect will offer a response!

green monkey commentedIt just hit me - ok, I'm a bit slow :-)
If you guys didn't know what I was talking about, then perhaps I'm riding this horse backwards
What should I be using Hierarchical Select - with? Not Tax Content AutoSelect?
The link for demo (above) about went to Wim's other cool modules.
sorry to be a pain, if so

sgdev commentedI think it just depends on what your needs are. Both work off of the same terms data and have similar functionality. ActiveSelect seems to requery the DB the first time a new 1st level item is selected, which does slow down the process. The layout between the two is slightly different too. My recommendation would be to try both and see which one you prefer.

green monkey commentedThanks Ron ... and welcome to Drupal :-)

wim leersSince this isn't an issue with Hierarchical Select, let's close it.
