Huh?
The user "abramo" is not the maintainer of User Quota. I am.
What's this all about?

Hi, Thanks for the note. When people apply for a CVS account we ask they create an issue on the project that want to be a co-maintainer of so that the original owner (yourself) can agree to it. We use this process to ensure that the original owner agrees to this.
I take it you do not agree to this?

Well, I'm still a bit confused as to how we got to this point. It looks like the user Abramo and myself had some past dialog about making a Drupal 5 version of this module, and I offered to accept diffs. (http://drupal.org/node/113008) I don't think we had any correspondence after that.
What I would like to do is speak with Abramo about this before doing any CVS access/transfer of ownership/etc.
I'm a bit unfamiliar with the workflow here... is Abramo CCed on this, or shall I follow up with him/her directly?
Thanks,
-- Doug

I doubt he is Cced on this. But I'm sure glad we have the "workflow" for people requesting CVS accounts to become co-maintainers of existing projects, seems to work ;)
I believe the original applicant is confused as to what is required. Seems to be speaking to teh wroung person! Thanks for your time.

Hello
I'm at a complete loss for words here. I'm pretty sure that I opened up the user_quota module, and then clicked on the developers name on the top left, and send him a message (which I was under the impression was abramo). I really don't know how the mix up occurred. Regardless, my original query still stands. I've re-written the user_quota module for Drupal 6, and would like to be the maintainer for it. (the name also changes to quota_by_role). How best can I assist with this ? :)

Hmm.
How does this sound: rather than replacing the current module with all new code, why not create a new module for your project and push a Drupal 6 release? Once that's up, I'll edit the description for the User Quote module and start directing folks to your module. Cool?

Fantastic! That was my original idea as well :) But then I was asked for links to the older module, and the whole confusion thing started.
CVS moderators, how does the compromise sound ?
