I have a default group
I would like to have this default group be part of a rule that I implement.

i am not sure quite how to do this. I do not see default machine name as an option in rules

Nope, and at this time there's no further development plan for this module. If anyone's written a working module, it's fine to include it as a sub-module. Please also take a minute to check out #1869366: Future Plan.
