While attempting to add or edit a node with a date field that allows repeating dates, if I leave the "Frequency" drop down blank, but choose for example "Months" for the "-Period" drop down, when the node saves there are NO date/times associated with the node, despite the date/time being required.

The fix for the user is easy- just choose the "Frequency" ("Every", or "Every 2",...).

However, it seems that there should be an error produced here, instead of creating an effectively invalid node. I think if any of the repeating information is chosen, it looks like the "Frequency" and "-Period" should at least be chosen?

Unfortunately the Drupal 6 version of the Date module is no longer supported. That said, we appreciate that you took time to work on this issue. Should this request still be relevant for Drupal 7 please feel free to reopen it. Thank you.
