Hello,

There is a very nice module http://drupal.org/project/select_or_other but for now if you choose "other" option the new textfield will appear and clientside validation doesn't check that field (if it's required). Is it possible to support this module with clientside validation?

Would love to see this functionality as well. As it stands, selecting 'other...' from the list of options also won't trigger the field as not empty, leaving the error message.

It is certainly possible but I don't have time right now to build this, feel free to provide a patch.
