Node missing along with expire message "flushed resulting in 2 pages being expired from the cache"

We've now seen it twice now that a user identifies a problem with a node going missing It's not available on save as node/271652

After editing the pages and then publish and Save (with Workflow). Get an error message, then I select continue and then I get this error message

"The page you requested does not exist. For your convenience, a search was performed using the query node 271652 edit."

In Watchdog we also see:

Message Node 271652 was flushed resulting in 2 pages being expired from the cache

Having these both happen at the same time seems to suggest that this is directly related.
