This module acts as a grid to detect and act upon events that will expire URLs from caches like reverse proxy caches. The Cache Expiration module is a spinoff of the expiration code of the Boost expiration code so other modules can use it. This module stands on its own and does not use Boost in any way.
There is now integration with the following modules:
Varnish integrates with Varnish Cache over an administrative socket.
Purge expires urls by sending purge requests to Varnish, Squid and nginx over HTTP.
Drush Expire provides drush commands to expire urls (xu), paths (xp) and nodes (xn) from the command line shell and scripts.
Rules Expire provides actions for the Rules module to allow more advanced cache expiration scenarios.
