Importing RSS feed to nodes hangs on "Initializing" rather than "Importing"

I've set up an almost identical feed importer that seeks to import feed items from an RSS feed into nodes...as soon as you dump the URL of the feed into the feed content item and save it, it takes me to a screen that says "initializing" rather than "importing" and never successfully creates the feed item nodes before it times out.
