Is there any way to allow users to post comments on cases without first requiring a preview? The "Preview post" option in "Administer > Content management" is currently set to "Optional" but this does not seem to make a difference. I don't see another setting for this anywhere else.

The settings as you describe should do it (that's the way I did it).

I was changing this setting under "Post settings" in "Administer" rather than "Comments" in "Administer" as I should have been.
