Issue Summary
Hi! I have two questions:
1) I'd like to keep the smartphone layout the same as per standard layout, but unfortunately, I can't find the solution in the docs
2) Therefore I disabled responsive layout and styles, but it caused my page not to load completely in most recent stable Chrome/Chromium browsers. As soon as I enable responsive layout and styles again, everything works normally, but my previous issue remains.
My issue 1) seems like a support/feature request, but 2) looks like a bug. Please advise.

First I would suggest clearing the browser cache, it might be the issue. When responsiveness is OFF the theme is not really doing much different other than loading a different set of CSS files, and in fact these are much simplified CSS (no media queries are loading).
Also check your theme settings - have you disabled/enabled anything else, such as a polyfill?
To make all layouts the same you have done the right thing, i.e. "Disable responsive layout and styles". I make the assumption you want all layouts the same.

I did clear the browser's cache, I even installed a new browser (Chrome) instead of Chromium - same thing. I never changed anything inside of polyfill, or any other JS/CSS setting other than "Disable responsive layout and styles".
I really like the potential of this starting theme, but this issue really bothers me since I'm not sure what happened and how will it affect my decision to use this theme for my upcoming projects. Now I'm just playing with it and discovering things.
