Hello all,
I just wanted to take the opportunity to announce the public availability of Gallerix 1.0b. As you can probably tell by the version number, the module is still in beta form, but it can be downloaded from the repository, or my website, http://the.failbo.at/gallerix . So, what is Gallerix?
In short, it's an all in one solution for all your photo sharing needs. I took the time to write an extensive readme file included with the module, so please read that if you have any issues. I'm hoping to get feedback throughout this week so I can finally put out an official version.
You can go ahead and view a demonstration at http://the.failbo.at/gallery. Please post all issues and/or comments on my site.
Thanks,
Silvio

Looks Nice Silvio
I'm certainly going to download and play with it.
However, I'm running a comminity site and what I need are user galleries - each user automatically has a gallery created for them (when they register, or first access the module) which they can upload their own photos into. Ideally this would be configurable through the Drupal "access roles"/permission system, and an each "role" would have a configurable quota on disk space or #images they could upload. Root, and priveleged users, would also be able to create albums at will and edit all users albums as necessary.
For my needs as well, this would also need to be integrated with IMCE or similar for use at the editor level.
I'm currently trialling Gallery2, but many of the users are non-technical; and I am wary of bridged solutions; so something like this may be ideal for what I need!
Can you tell me if there are any plans to add this type of functionality?
Thanks,
Gareth
on the module page
it mentions something about charging for the engine/widgets.
"I plan on releasing a widget engine, as well as separate widgets that use this engine. This engine and each widget will be available through a paid license." here
Can you explain that more? Prices, etc?
Thanks,
kpaul
A good tutorial for noobs needed.
I really need a good tutorial on how to set up the Gallerix modules / views. I am an old school Joomla guy that needs some lessons on how to set up things like this in Drupal. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thank you,
JS
JS, Did you take a look at
JS,
Did you take a look at the documentation? It's not exactly an installation guide, but it might help you out.
