Beta testing for Gallerix v1.3 is in place right now. Head over to http://the.failbo.at/gallerix to try it out.
Features Include:

Requirements
- Drupal 5.x
- Working Image Toolkit (GD)
- Permission to mkdir, rmdir, unlink, and chmod.
- Views (Optional)
