I have a folder full of images. Each image is named with the node id and letter so 838a.jpg and 838b.jpg
So when people go to the node they can see only images related to that node id.
?
Then feed this list of images to the [br|path/15/45]

If it were demonstrated this was something valuable for the general public, I would not mind coding it. But it seems more like a requirement for very particular needs. Why can/could you not use one subfolder for each of the image groups?
