We will be making these region pages increasingly feature-ful.( ben)
When will they exist?
How will they be acessed ?
for the time being the country page is accessed by a click in the home page on the continent name with some countries leading to a page where all countries of that continent are listed in alphabetical order
The current request is using right of new actions frame for this- with five continents
i suggest to put most populous countries in the home page
and have overlaps for border countries : eg turkey - europe and magrheb-machrek morocco : africa and magheb machrek
Africa - Egypt -Nigeria -South africa -Morocco-others ( all the list in alphabetical order) -
America - USA - brasil - mexico - argentina - others( all the list in alphabetical order) -
Asia - china – india – indonesia - Pakistan - Bangla Desh - Russia - Japan others ( all the list in alphabetical order) -
Europe – Russia - Germany - Turkey -Italy - France - Greatbritain - others ( all the list in alphabetical order) -
Magrheb-Machrek - Pakistan - Egypt - Turkey - Morroco( all the list in alphabetical order) -
Oceania - Australia others ( all the list in alphabetical order) -
the country page is identical to home page - with the map centered in the country - and the laguage preset to one language for this country ( there may be several ...)
the actions displayed would be in that country ( filter)
for the time being no other feature - a country discussion list may be proposed later on

mlncn commentedToo much in one issue! We'll break it down later.
For now–
http://dev.wsf2008.net/eng/taxonomy/vocabulary/5
shows that the taxonomy list module does not follow the Drupal way and must hardcode in its taxonomy links, because it is supposed to have the place/[tid] format override, but instead all places are linked to by taxonomy/term -- not the behavior we want.
More generally, it shows that people entering their own locations will need to be cleaned up a little bit (duplicate terms merged). This can be done with taxonomy manager module. For those who have permissions: Admin » Content » Taxonomy Manager

OriPekelman commentedAs far as I know Turkey is in Asia not in Europe or in the Maghreb This problem appears on the home page.
Russia is both in Asia and Europe which is correct

mlncn commentedWe dropped the Maghreb concept. Dan lived in Turkey so I'm deferring to him on the double-listing for now.
