I think support for the 6.x version of this module is frozen where it is (unless someone wants to take on and contribute back a complete backport of the API).

I'd like to land on solutions for, test, and release the following features, ideally by end of Q1 2012.

At this point, I'd consider the module more or less feature complete and begin work porting to Drupal 8. The 8.x-1.x version must include, at minimum, all of the functionality ripped out in #1446956: Remove the accesslog from statistics. However, I'd also like to take the opportunity to make all "core" accesslog fields optional.
