What is Barracuda?

Barracuda is essentially framework that everything sits on. It manages the firewalls, software updates and programs required to manage the server. You can run a barracuda update and it will ensure all the correct software is installed and up-to-date, without touching the hosted sites or their software.

Installing components

Edit your ~root/.barracuda.cnf and add some of the components below to the variable

e.g:

_XTRAS_LIST="BDD FTP"

then run:

barracuda up-stable

• CSF --- csf/lfd Firewall

• GIT --- Latest Git from sources
• PDS --- fast DNS cache server (pdnsd)
• SLR --- MultiCore Apache Solr Tomcat
• WMN --- Webmin Control Panel
