I've been trying to use Views Slideshow Xtra and while the it works when I'm in the admin area using the Seven theme, the view doesn't work in Mothership:

There should be some text that overlays on the image that is found under the "attachment" class. Now when I'm in the view, each of the "views-slideshow-xtra-overlay-row" cycles through, but in Mothership they are all set to "display: none" and stay that way.

I looked at this issue and wondered if adding the views-view.tpl.php or views-view-fields.tpl.php would work, but that doesn't seem to have resolved it.

Any suggestions?

You did clear the caches after adding the file to your theme, right?

mothership overwrites a view tpl's so reapply em for you theme's specific needs - look in views theme info to find the right name for the tpl's
