Hello,

I am currently working on a Web site for my place of work. I would like to know if it is possible to create a slideshow of our current events? For example, this slideshow will feature one event at a time, and if a user wishes to view this event details, they click the event and it will bring them to a sign up page. I would like this slideshow to be controllable, meaning the user can advance, rewind or pause the slide at any given moment.

Can Drupal support this?
If so, how can I do this?

You can use a content type

You can use a content type for the event plus the views and views slideshow modules to present as a slideshow.

thanks nevets, is this hard

thanks nevets,

is this hard to accomplish? also, if I would like coworkers to maintain this, can they easily pull it through if they are not tech-savy? I do not see content type for the modules or view. please help.

thanks!

Content types are part of

Content types are part of core, they are reached through the toolbar from "structure". Views is a contributed module as is Views Slideshow

I am guessing you have not used Drupal before, so while not hard, you probably have some learning to do before this becomes straightforward.

As for coworkers maintaining it, they should be able to, but it does depends on their skills and knowledge.
