I came accross the need to use Exclude Node title module, but unfortunately Display Suite doesn't support it.

The Display Suite provides for a "Custom page title" and allows for: Show, Hide or Manually set. In other words, I believe the functionality provided by Exclude Node Title already exists in Display Suite.
