Description
Would it be possible to add a checkbox to the configuration menu to turn off/on the menu items that come with Simple Karma? People could then just take the url of, for example, users by karma and could create menu items themselves, calling them what they want and adding them as primary links etc.

Hi,
THe only menu item created is "view users by karma".
Only users with the right permissions can view that list. If you don't want it,you can just not give anybody that permission!

It is really frustrating to submit a feature request for this module if it is being closed down without being read properly. And I'm all up for testing the module and contributing for it to become more user friendly and versatile, but I'd really appreciate if you could at least make an effort to try to understand what the problem really is instead of just closing it down. At least leave it open for someone to submit a patch if you don't want to implement it yourself.
It's nice that a menu item is created automatically called "view users by karma" and that you can define in the permissions who should see it and who shouldn't. But that doesn't help me because the term "karma" is not self-explanatory and the people visiting my site will be confused by it, especially in relation to how I'd like to use the module.
- I do not want the menu item to be called "view users by karma"
- I want people to still be able to view it (so I need to keep the permission) but under a different name and as Primary Link
If you could turn off the item but still use its url, you could just create a link yourself and call it whatever you want. That would solve a lot of issues. Or simply make the menu item configurable like it is for "Drupalit".

Hi,
This is not how you talk to somebody who's doing something for free:
"It is really frustrating to submit a feature request for this module if it is being closed down without being read properly."
A good way to go about it, is to write politely:
"Sorry, I am not sure you understood my request. I do want the URL to be available, I just don't want the menu option to come up".
Simple Karma is not the only thing I do. I have a life, a magazine, a cancer, and a job to deal with.
This feature request would take me 30 seconds. However, its implementation is delayed by 2 weeks, as a warning to other people coming to the Simple Karma feature request spot and writing responses like yours.
Or, unless somebody else genuinely needs it (I won't let others suffer for one person's rudeness).
Bye,
Merc.

Hi,
* Solution 1:
http://symbiotix.net/node/36
This didn't need a bug report. Just a bit of googling.
No feature request required.
* Solution 2:
http://drupal.org/node/131061
This requires a bit more advanced Drupal hacking. See the last #36, my backport of the patch which will be in place for Drupal 6, to change what menu items are called
No feature request required.
* Solution 3
Simple Karma's CVS.
Only because I didn't want to see this issue open tomorrow morning.
Merc.
