when dealing with many sites it would be helpful to list the domains in alphabetical order. Maybe Id, Domain, etc... could be sortable in "Domain list"; while switcher/navigator could be ordered by Domain.

Yes. Sorting the list table is on the to-do list because of the Domain User module, since that module require paginating the list of domains.

And this is a 'feature request' not support.

The switcher/navigator might have a sort option on it, but I don't want to force too many options during configuration.

The domain list, at least, is now sortable in HEAD.
