We have IMCE installed and is working fine. However the thumbnails created by IMCE doesn't show automatically in teasers. Is there a way you can attache image using IMCE to an article and it will show up in teasers?

This is not possible with IMCE. You should separately insert thumbnail and the original image in teaser and content.
