I have a fresh install of Adaptive theme and created a subtheme and then created some menu links to test out using the Superfish navbar menu. All works well except that the when on the home page, the home page link does not show as active and so the second level of the navbar doesn't show. It shows normally on all other links in the menu. Any help much appreciated, thanks.

Try asking in the Supefish issue queue, AT does not control what active classes are set (the module does).
