Thanks for the work done in the following issue to add a menu toggle for mobile.
#1878446: Add mobile support for the Main menu
Smashing Magazine just published their new JavaScript plugin for Responsive Menus.
I think this would be better solution because it uses a standard menu icon rather than the menu title.
Check it out and let me know if this would be a good fit for Adaptive Theme.

xenophyle commentedHaving the option to explicitly show the miniaturized menu link as the word "Menu" (or something similar) rather than an unlabeled button or arbitrary symbol is important. In our shop we specifically avoid using mobile menu tools that do not allow this.

marcoka commentednice one too: http://responsivemobilemenu.com/en/
afaik the latest dev has that integrated and only needs to be styled by yourself.

Jeff Burnz commentedAnyone can add an icon with CSS, which is what a starter theme should do, simply provide a hook that can be styled - in this case some text wrapped in markup - the block title.
Personally I would prefer this entire menu system was replaced by a module, so I'll be keeping my eye on the two or three I see being worked on - thanks for the heads up marcoka on that new module, great to see new stuff being developed for mobile.
