1. Check Repeat
  2. Set Yearly repeats, leave other form elements untouched
  3. Try to save: Warning: "Missing value in 'Range of repeat'. (COUNT)." (Thats OK)
  4. Write "10" to Range of repeat
  5. Save
  6. You are done…

…however you did not set a yearly repeat but a 10 times monthly repeat on the first day of the coming months.

And if the display options of the date field was set to hide every repeat related information you won't know that you did it wrong. (You may think Date has default patterns to help you: #1966422: Repeat – provide default value based on entered date)
