Node Autotitles showing 1 day off

When I create node autotitles using tokens in my content type, the dates come back showing one day off. I've included a few pictures below to show exactly what the situation is.

Basically, I have the autotitles set to create a title based on a cck field "event_date," which uses the date pop-up. When you go back to edit the node, the proper date shows up (image 1). But for the title of the node, it shows the day before (image 2).

I have set the node autotitles to use this format:
[node:field_event_name] - [node:field-event-date:day_and_date_no_time]

Based on the replacement patterns available (image 3), this should be correct.

I have searched quite a bit, and found plenty of discussion on a similar issue in drupal 6, but the patches & advice was not applicable to drupal 7 as far as I could tell, and I haven't found anyone yet talking about it in d7... is it a new issue?
