Will Cartaro work with the latest Geoserver 2.3.1 or do we have to use 2.2.5?

The REST interface turned out to work more reliable in GeoServer 2.2 than in 2.3.0. The 2.2 series was thus used in our test setups and we strongly recommend to use 2.2.5.

Thank you for the informative response. Much appreciated.

Ok 2.2.5 it is then.

I am just having a slight problem understanding how to do something in the documentation "Using Drupal Users and Roles in Geoserver". It says:
"Log into GeoServer using the user root and add a new role service of type Drupal. It does not matter which name you set and one such service is sufficient for any number of bound Drupal instances. Finally make sure GeoServer does actually use the new service by selecting it in GeoServer's global security settings."

I am in the Geoserver>Create New Role Service page and I can't figure out how to "create a new role service of type Drupal". There doesn't seem to be an option for type Drupal. Only XML and JDBC. I have put the jar file in the right place and made the change in the web.xml file. Also in the security settings there doesn't seem to be a drupal_role_service in the Active Role Service dropdown.

Did I miss a step or something?

Cheers, Matt

Stupid me, I didn't put the jar in the lib folder!

Issue closed. Thanks for your help and an awesome distro, guys! Rock on!
