I get every day an email from the server upgrade monitor with the subject "New Barracuda BOA-2.0.8 Edition available", although Barracuda BOA-2.0.8 is already installed.

What is the result of these commands?

ls -la /var/aegir/config/includes/barracuda_log.txt
ls -la /var/log/barracuda_log.txt
